While President Donald Trump makes every effort to prevent the Epstein files from seeing the light of day, Prince Andrew’s biographer has a warning for him.
Andrew lost everything when he stepped back as a working royal due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein. Despite being Queen Elizabeth’s favorite child, she had no choice but to ask him to resign from his public role in 2020. Furthermore, in 2022 following his settling of a US civil sexual assault case, she revoked all of his honorary military affiliations and royal charitable patronages. That meant no more royal paycheck for Andrew, who has had money issues ever since. Andrew was effectively “shut out” by most of his royal family.
According to author Andrew Lownie, Donald Trump may face the same fate. As much as he tries to distract and suppress the truth, the Epstein files will likely come out eventually. Their release could not only result in the biggest constitutional crisis American has ever faced, but it could spell the end for Trump.

“The Epstein connection destroyed Andrew’s public life,” Lownie said, according to Radar Online. “Trump risks the same fate if fresh details emerge.” Or Congress ever allows the public to see the files they already have.
An entire chapter in Lownie’s new book The Rise and Fall of the House of York details Andrew’s involvement in Epstein’s social and political scandal. Although he kept his Duke of York title, traditionally given to the monarch’s second son since the 15th century, Andrew forfeited the moniker HRH (His Royal Highness). He also withdrew from any public duties.
Though Trump refutes ever meeting Andrew, they were photographed together at Mar-a-Lago in February 2000. Also captured in the photo were Epstein and his sex-trafficking girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell.
“[The picture was taken] when Andrew was spending time in the States, and Trump was living the high life in Florida,” Lownie continued. “They may have met on official terms a few years later when Andrew showed Trump around London.”
In the wake of his disgrace, Andrew became something of a royal recluse. But things may get even worse for him when his older brother King Charles passes. Prince William is poised to take the throne, and he’s prepared to take a hard line with the royal family. Rather than attempting to cover up Andrew’s royal misbehavior as the former queen did, William intends to hold him accountable.
Life could soon get much worse for Andrew.
