The episode has become insanely successful on YouTube and has garnered over 19 million views so far.
Xavier Worthy addresses Taylor Swift’s shout-out
The “False God” singer gave a shout-out to a Kansas City Chiefs star in the recent episode New Heights podcast, apart from her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
In the clip that was shared by the NFL team on their Instagram and TikTok, Xavier Worthy can be seen visibly joyful after learning that the “biggest pop star of the generation” has name-dropped him on the podcast.
In footage from the podcast, Taylor Swift can be seen expressing her reaction to Worthy getting drafted by the Chiefs in the clip. She also conveyed how she turned into a die-hard NFL fan and stated, “I fell in love with it. I became like a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, ‘We drafted Xavier Worthy!’ And my friends are like, ‘Who body snatched you? What do you mean we drafted Xavier Worthy?'”
Kelce chimed in, saying, “I forget where I was, but you were the first person to tell me that we drafted the fastest man in the draft.” Swift then added, “No, I was screeching. I couldn’t believe it. Freaking out.”
Furthermore, the Chiefs’ tight end further revealed that the news was a shocker for him too and said, “I couldn’t believe it either. I’m like, wait, is she right? I had to look this up. I’m like, did she get the wrong information here? But, yeah, we traded up.”
Meanwhile, Xavier Worthy, after seeing the clip, stated, “It’s crazy to have somebody running around the house screaming, ‘We drafted you.’ That’s tight though, that’s what’s up.”
