How Drake and Adin Ross reacted to Jeanpormanove’s death

Adin Ross reacted to Jeanpormanove’s death on X (formerly Twitter), where he confirmed that he and Drake would handle the funeral costs.

“This is horrible and disgusting,” Ross wrote. “Whoever was apart [sic] of this deserves to face severe consequences.”

Several fans praised Adin Ross for speaking up on Jeanpormanove’s death and his promise to pay for the funeral costs.

“Rare Adin W, pls get those guys in jail,” one fan wrote.

“Thanks for speaking up about this,” another added. “Sometimes content goes too far.”

At the time of his death, Jeanpormanove was engaged in a 10-day livestream marathon. During the stream, he was subjected to extreme torture by two other men. Before police confirmed his death, a video of Jeanpormanove lying lifeless had been circulating online.

Following his death, a spokesperson for Kick — the platform where Jeanpermanove streamed his content — told the BBC that they were “urgently reviewing” the circumstances around his death. They stressed that the platform’s community guidelines were “designed to protect creators.”

Jeanpormanove’s death not only sparked outrage among fans but among French officials as well.

Minister Clara Chappaz called the streamer’s death and the violence he suffered an “absolute horror” on X. She also highlighted the legal responsibility of online platforms when it came to the dissemination of illegal content.

Meanwhile, France’s High Commissioner for Children, Sarah El-Hairy, said Jeanpormanove’s death was “horrifying.” She emphasized the “immense responsibility” of platforms regulating online content so that children weren’t exposed to “violent content.” Further, she urged parents to be very vigilant.
