Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have hit a rough patch since her name was mentioned in Justin Baldoni’s sexual assault case. The former besties have reportedly not been on speaking terms. With the singer’s TS12 album release date approaching, the “Gossip Girl” alum has seemingly been nervous. According to a source, Lively might be worried about being the target of Swift’s “brutal” lyrics.

Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” is all set to release on October 3. While the pop sensation has all the reasons to celebrate, Blake Lively reportedly feels the opposite. A source told Rob Shuter that the actor is worried about her ex-best friend’s lyrics. She has allegedly been anxious about a “burn book moment.”
“Taylor’s lyrics can be brutal, and Blake doesn’t want to end up immortalized in a track,” the insider added. They also mentioned that the pair has been close friends for several years, but now “there’s tension.” On top of that, the upcoming release of TS12 “didn’t help.” Referring to the release date as “Mean Girls Day,” Shuter further implied that “The Life of a Showgirl” could be “explosive” when it finally drops.
An earlier report hinted at rumors about Swift’s album coming with a diss track related to her and Lively’s situation. The news came after a source claimed that the “Cruel Summer” soloist dropped the 37-year-old’s name from her recent party’s guest list.
On August 13, the pop star celebrated the announcement of “The Life of a Showgirl” in New York City. Many A-list celebrities from her inner circle attended the event, except for Lively. Reportedly, it was a “curated list,” and the “It Ends With Us” star “just didn’t make the cut.”
Meanwhile, Swift has recently stunned her fans by releasing the album cover of a special vinyl edition. She donned a racy look, wearing a bedazzled bodysuit with a butt-baring cutout. Within a day, the Instagram post garnered more than five million likes.
