After months of speculation, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged. The happy couple took to social media in a joint post to announce the news to their millions of fans. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Taylor joked in the caption.

Taylor and Travis announced the news alongside a stunning carousel of photos from the day of their engagement. The loved-up duo looked emotional as they stood together, and Taylor showed off her whopper of an engagement ring.
Taylor and Travis first started dating in 2023. Travis took to his podcast to shoot his shot in July, wondering how he could get a friendship bracelet – which Taylor’s fans are renowned for exchanging during her Eras tour – to the singer. Just a few months later, and Taylor attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game in late September.
The speculation was rife, and while everybody knew something was going down, nothing was officially confirmed. That is of course until that famous photo of Taylor and Travis holding hands, in October. Later that same month, and they were photographed kissing.
It took until June 2024 for Taylor to hard-launch the relationship on Instagram. Then in September of the same year, she gave him a shoutout on stage. Two Super Bowls later, and the marriage rumors started. They were without merit for a time, but now we finally have some concrete answers about their future.
Now, just over two years after Travis decided to shoot his shot, Taylor and Travis are taking their relationship to the next level with their engagement. It’s a Love Story, and Taylor just said yes.
