In a recent podcast, Snoop Dogg talked about his apparent awkwardness while watching a movie with his grandson. The movie features a lesbian couple, which Snoop said left the child with a lot of questions. Ts Madison has voiced her distaste at the rappers comments.
Ts Madison feels like “public enemy number one” being trans
Snoop Dogg said he’s reluctant to take his grandchildren to the cinema again after an awkward moment watching “Lightyear”. After the movie introduced a lesbian couple with a baby, Snoop said his grandson ambushed him with questions.
Speaking on the “Dom Lucre: Breaker of Narratives” podcast, he said of the experience, “I didn’t come here for this sh*t, I just came to watch the goddamn movie! I’m scared to go to the movies now, y’all throwing me in the middle of sh*t that I don’t have an answer for!”
Ts Madison was not happy about the comments. As the first trans woman to star in her own reality TV show, she is no stranger to calling out tone deaf comments. During Monday’s episode of “TMZ Live“, she claimed that Snoop’s comments were “rooted in a bit of homophobia”. She pointed out that the rapper’s grandchildren may also have questions about the adult themes in his music videos.
Things then got a little bit heated between Ts and TMZ host Harvey Levin. Ts said, “As queer people, we’ve always been pushed to the side. It’s time for us to have these uncomfortable conversations.”
Harvey, who is gay, countered: “I gotta say, I’ve been around a long time, and for a long time I have not felt pushed to the side and pushed away. I hear people talking about that, but that’s not society today.”
Ts then went on to say that trans people are “extremely under attack”, to which the hosts agreed. “They’re making us public enemy number one, and we’re just existing,” she said.
