You’ll remember Troy from Love Island Season 2. He came in as a bombshell on Day 30, but wound up leaving a week later. Troy quickly tried coupling up, but things didn’t go as planned. He wound up leaving the villa after a week, but his prison stay won’t be as short-lived.

According to a report from People, Troy got violent on Sunday, April 27, when he was waiting for a family to remove a child seat from their car. The cops said there were plenty of other spaces available, but Troy was fixated on this one particular spot.

Anyone who has loaded a car seat knows that it can feel like a complicated science. Clearly, Troy wasn’t having it. The Love Island alum punched the victim, which caused him to fall and sustain a major head injury.

Troy fled the scene, but the cops caught up with him later that night. He wound up pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. After a court hearing, Troy was sentenced to one year and two weeks in prison.

“While he indicated remorse by asking about the victim’s welfare, he still caused serious harm to a man over a relatively trivial matter,” the investigator working the case said in a statement. “The judge passed the sentence, taking the unprovoked nature of the assault into consideration.”

Love Island UK is streaming on ITV and Hulu.
