While the Kardashians are no strangers to beauty procedures, Kris Jenner has undergone quite a transformation. The “momager” has had an eye-wateringly expensive face lift, and she’s been very open about her reasons for doing so.
Kris Jenner is “ageing gracefully” her own way
Kris set tongues wagging back in May when she debuted a younger, fresher looking appearance. She’s since confirmed she had a rather pricey facelift, and she’s owning her decision to go under the knife.
In a candid interview with Vogue Arabia, the Kardashian matriarch revealed her thoughts on embracing surgery: “I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh,” she admitted. “I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy.
“Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself. If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything. But for me, this is ageing gracefully. It’s my version.”
Kris, 69, enlisted the help of celebrity surgeon Dr. Steven M. Levine for the procedure. It reportedly set her back a cool $100,000. Many fans have noted the reality TV star’s likeness to daughter Kim Kardashian following the facelift. Fans have also pointed out Kris’ apparent weight loss in recent months, with some speculating she may have turned to weight loss drugs like Ozempic.
Kris isn’t the only family member to open up about their cosmetic surgery. Daughter Kylie gave a very honest answer about her breast implants via a TikTok comment earlier this year.
The head of the Kardashian clan is said to have had relationship troubles in recent months. But she clearly has no woes in the work department. She may be turning 70 this year, but she has no plans to retire any time soon. “My mom worked until she was 82, and I’m planning on following suit. Maybe 85?,” she said.
