Mickey Rourke was spotted looking unrecognizable in a rare public outing
Since his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, Mickey Rourke has lain low, staying out of the spotlight as much as possible. That is understandable, after being painted in a negative light on the show because of his physical actions towards co-host AJ Odudu, plus his openly homophobic remarks to fellow housemate JoJo Siwa.
Page Six spotted the former Academy Award nominee, though in a rare public sighting. The actor and former boxer emerged from his Beverly Hills home to speak with a pest control technician. The 72-year-old had messy grey hair, which was thinning due to balding. Mickey has undergone numerous reconstructive surgeries in part due to all the shots he took as a boxer.
Mickey’s behavior on Celebrity Big Brother led to his removal from the game in April. He made inappropriate sexual comments towards housemate Ella Wise, while also verbally confronting another housemate, Chris Hughes.
Initially, Mickey planned to sue the network ITV after receiving only $50,000 of his $500,000 agreed-upon fee. After being removed from the game, he apologized for his actions in the house, saying: “I stepped over the line.” He added, “I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life.”
While he hasn’t been seen in public much lately, Mickey will be on the big screen soon. He has numerous movies soon to be released, including 3 Days Rising, a horror-thriller re-imagining of Edgar Allen Poe’s masterpiece.
