Travis Kelce is delving into the world of fashion as part of a new collaboration with a popular clothing retailer.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who recently got engaged to pop icon Taylor Swift, is preparing to play in his 13th NFL season, which may be his last. While he has become a hugely popular figure in the sports and entertainment world, his latest venture has generated a polarizing effect among people.
Travis Kelce is working with American Eagle despite the controversy that swirled around Sydney Sweeney’s ad

On Wednesday, American Eagle announced the launch of AE x Tru Kolors, created by the Pro Bowl tight end. It’s a limited-edition product collaboration with Tru Kolors, Kelce’s sportswear and lifestyle brand built on connection and self-expression.
America Eagle has been under scrutiny for dropping its “great jeans” campaign featuring actress Sydney Sweeney. Many criticized the ad for its reference to eugenics – a discredited ideology rooted in white supremacy and scientific racism. In a commercial, the actress says:
“Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye color.”
As you might imagine, fans online had a lot to say about Trav’s clothing line in connection with Sidney’s controversy earlier this month.
For the campaign, he brought in tennis sensation Anna Frey, basketball guard Azzi Fudd, quarterback Drew Allar, basketball prospect Kiyan Anthony, the son of former NBA player Carmelo Anthony, plus Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith and gymnastics Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee.
“I’ve had to keep my excitement about this collab under wraps for nearly a year. It was an awesome opportunity to team up with an established brand where both sides were excited to truly collaborate on every decision in the design and creative process that brought the ‘AE x TK’ collection to life,” The NFL star shared with US Weekly.
Travis began Tru Kolors in 2019 to showcase authenticity while having fun with style. His items now available at American Eagle include vintage-inspired t-shirts, varsity jackets, cricket sweaters, plus rugby polos, utility cargos, soft chenille pieces and cashmere sets.
Travis has a long list of items ranging from $14.95 to $179.95 in price. His collection features more than 90 pieces and will be available until September 24.
