Jennifer Lopez ‘Hurt’ by ‘Wednesday’ Star’s ‘Unnecessary Jab,’ Says Source

Jennifer Lopez reportedly felt stung by “Wednesday” star Luis Guzman, with whom she worked on a 1998 movie, making an icy remark about her. During a recent segment of “Hot Ones,” Guzman, along with his co-stars from the Netflix hit show, played a game about describing his previous collaborators with just one word and called Lopez “okay.” A source claimed that the “unnecessary” jab apparently left her “surprised and hurt.”

Jennifer Lopez is taking the high road after ‘Wednesday’ actor’s dig on ‘Hot Ones,’ says source

Rob Shuter #ShuterScoop exclusively learned that Jennifer Lopez felt the sting of “Wednesday” actor Luis Guzman’s remark decades after working on a movie together. Guzman, who has previously worked on several hit projects alongside big-shot names, didn’t hold back his one-word reaction for J.Lo during a game with Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, and Georgie Farmer on “Hot Ones.”

The star, who plays the titular character’s father, Gomez Addams, in the Netflix show, described Lopez as “okay,” contrary to his comments about other previous collaborators. A source claimed that his blunt “jab” left the singer-actor “surprised and hurt.” Lopez recalled Guzman as “funny, warm, and a great collaborator,” and had a wildly “different experience” working alongside him on the 1998 film, “Out of Sight.”

However, Lopez is seemingly taking the high road after the “Wednesday” actor’s dig on “Hot Ones.” The insider claimed that she is in a “totally different headspace now” and is walking away instead of taking jabs. Lopez has been prioritizing “her kids, her career, and living with positivity.” In fact, she is steering clear of arguing about something that happened over two decades ago.

Nevertheless, Shuter’s report revealed that the award-winning musician’s friends claimed she felt the jab was unnecessary, but opted for silence. A second source alleged that she “wishes him [Guzman] well” because that’s “who she is today” and has no intentions of “looking backward.”
