Harry will meet Charles upon his return to Britain, leading to the much-awaited father-son reconciliation after 20 months. As reported by the Mirror, a source shared that the reunion will not be about any “grand gestures.”

King Charles and Prince Harry are seemingly ready to have a reunion. Rather than any extravagant “gestures,” it will be about a father-son conversation. The Mirror’s source from the U.S. claimed, “It’s clear there is now a determination on both sides to make this happen.” The individual continued, “Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved.” However, the step “is about beginning with Charles and Harry.”

The insider then talked about how much “hope” there is for the reconciliation between Harry and Charles. “For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach,” the person further said. “Prince Harry’s team and the Palace have opened a line of communication.” Moreover, the individual expressed that there has been “every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September.”

The source further mentioned to the news outlet that “after 20 months apart,” the monarch feels “that the time is right to take that step.” “This is not about grand gestures or set-piece meetings,” they continued, adding, “It’s about a simple face-to-face conversation between a father and his son.” The insider then talked about what matters the most in this situation, stating, “The priority is privacy and dignity.” However, the individual also noted that the upcoming reunion should ensure that “the door stays open for further dialogue.”
