Spencer Pratt has been locked in a feud with California Governor Gavin Newsom for the past two months. Now the online battle has been extended to one of the Governor’s employees. Spencer has accused the staffer of “harassing” him following a post about his appearance.
Spencer Pratt feels “shamed” by Governor Gavin Newsom’s staff
It’s a war no one saw coming. A battle for the ages. Spencer Pratt vs Governor Gavin Newsom. It all started last month, when The Hills alum called out the Governor on X over a law that would’ve let low-income and multi-unit housing go up on burn-scarred lots in the Pacific Palisades. Spencer and wife Heidi Montag lost their home in the wildfires that ravaged the area earlier this year.
Gavin (or a staffer) clapped back on X, writing that he had nothing to do with the bill (which has since been pulled). It ended on a pretty interesting note, stating it was “shameful how C-list reality TV stars” were able to spread misinformation.
You know Spencer wasn’t going to let that one slide. Since then, he has been full power ahead in his mission to hold Governor Gavin responsible for the wildfires. He told Variety: “Everything I ever bought in my life burned down. Everything my parents ever bought in their life burned down. Like the stakes are so real. I’m doing this because they destroyed my life.”
In this latest development, the Director of Communications for Governor Gavin seemed to criticize Spencer’s appearance on X. Posting an old photo of the TV star next to a more recent one, he wrote: “Are we sure this guy is even him? I think it’s a body double.”
Spencer labeled the post “harassment”, adding “And I’m sure my appearance would look better if Newsom hadn’t let my town burn down.”
