Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have plenty of priorities to deal with, but planning their wedding isn’t one of them. Since the celebrity couple became engaged last week, everyone’s been wondering when they will set a date? We might not know the answer to that question for a while.
Both Taylor and Travis have more pressing matters to attend to at the moment. The Grammy Award winner is preparing for the release of her 12th studio album, entitled The Life of a Showgirl on October 3. Her fiancée, meanwhile, will be playing in his 13th NFL season beginning this week. He’s currently in Brazil ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ regular-season opener. On Friday they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce aren’t planning their wedding just yet
As exciting as a wedding can be, they both seem content with putting all of that planning on the back burner for now.
“Taylor and Travis have been in celebration mode ever since the engagement,” a source told People. “They are not in the wedding planning phase yet.”
Their engagement came nearly two years after news of their relationship. Taylor has been spotted in the box of many of Travis’ games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
“Right now they just want to enjoy being engaged and they are going to take their time with it,” the source adds. “It has been a relief not having to keep it a secret anymore, and they are glad it is out in the open.”
The couple shared plenty of photographs capturing the moment when Travis popped the question. A source close to the celebrities says that both families are overjoyed about the engagement.
That news came just weeks after the pop superstar appeared on the podcast New Heights, which Travis co-hosts with his brother, Jason.
