When we first met Todd Chrisley on Chrisley Knows Best, he and his family were living in a McMansion outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and showcasing their incredible wealth. Then, they suddenly moved to Nashville, Tennessee. The fact that they were being investigated for financial crimes by the Northern District of Georgia likely had a little something to do with that.
When Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were released from prison via a presidential pardon, they returned to Nashville. At the moment, they’re loving life in Nashville, but Todd wants to eventually return to his home state of South Carolina. He’s got big plans for himself and Julie once they get there.

The criminal couple spoke to People ahead of the premiere of their Lifetime series, The Chrisleys: Back to Reality. They talked about what it’s been like living in The Music City with their daughter, Savannah Chrisley. Apparently, they’re loving it.
“It is so much fun. I love it,” Julie said. “I feel like I can finally breathe because I don’t have all the maintenance that I had. This is just a new start and a new beginning that I’m so excited about and grateful that I’m able to live.”
According to Julie, she’s within walking distance of a ton of restaurants and coffee shops. Her best friend lives just a mile away from her. It’s an easy life that she wouldn’t be living if it weren’t for the President’s pardon.
As much as they’re loving the sweet life in Nashville, Todd said he still has plans to move to South Carolina. He wants to purchase a mansion, convert it into a hotel, and make a show about it. He told People that it’s still in the cards, but they have to wait to see what happens with some of the other projects they have coming down the pipeline.
“When are we going back to South Carolina? I think that’s going to depend on how things fall with production and other projects that we’re working on right now,” Todd said.
For now, the Chrisleys remain in Nashville. Todd predicted that they would always have a presence there. But, South Carolinians, beware. There’s a convicted felon planning on doing business in your state.
