Jason Kelce has spoken openly about what part he hopes to play at his brother, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift’s wedding. However, he admitted nothing has been settled yet.
In a preview clip shared on September 2, 2025, from his upcoming appearance on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast, the retired NFL star revealed that he is hoping to be chosen for the role of best man. While speaking to hosts Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, Kelce said, “Hopefully I’m the best man. We’ll see. Trav has a lot of friends, I’m just hoping to get the opportunity.”
Jason’s remarks about the wedding come shortly after he spoke publicly about the couple’s engagement. He did so on the August 27 episode of New Heights. Jason referred to it as a “gigantic piece of ‘New News’ that just hit the waves.” He noted that the recording took place on Monday, which happened to be Travis’ only day off. That’s why the Kansas City Chiefs star was not present to speak on the matter himself.
However, Jason added, “But we felt it necessary as a team here at New Heights to get together and send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged! The proposal heard ‘round the world.”
The announcement itself was made on August 26, when the tight end and the pop star confirmed their engagement in a joint Instagram post. It featured photos of their garden proposal, surrounded by flowers. The caption read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
