Prince Harry and King Charles‘ potential reconciliation reportedly brought him closer to a part-time job with the royals in the future. The past couple of months have witnessed swirling talks about a possible reunion between the estranged father-son duo. Reports even indicated that they made significant headway towards that end. More recently, an expert claimed that Harry’s homecoming to the U.K. would also mean him resuming some of his duties as a royal.
Experts predict what kind of future Prince Harry holds in the palace
The Daily Express U.S. exclusively learned that Prince Harry’s bid to reconcile with King Charles could open job opportunities for him in the future. Kristen Meinzer, an award-winning podcaster and culture critic, revealed what might lie ahead for the prince if his work towards mending the bridges proves successful. Meinzer believes that he is well-placed to become a part-time royal if he ever returns home to the U.K.
The expert alleged that it was “never” Harry’s “intention to completely surrender his senior royal duties” when he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their roles in 2020. He has reportedly claimed on multiple occasions that “it was never his intention” to fully forfeit all his responsibilities. Meinzer believes that if the king allowed Harry and Markle some “flexibility and a great deal of safety” in their duties, the couple might “consider accepting the opportunity.”
Moreover, the expert asserted that Prince Harry would “love to return” to the U.K. and his royal job, at least “part-time.” Meinzer alleged that he seemingly wishes to reconnect with his friends and family back home and also wants his “wife and children to know and love his homeland.” The expert suggested that it was likely why Harry had been trying to “reinstate the security” as he wants his and his family’s homecoming to be as safe as possible.
The podcaster further maintained that “it’s safe to say” Charles had always hoped his younger son would return home eventually. A report previously mentioned that the monarch kept Harry and Markle’s former home, Frogmore Cottage, vacant in a thoughtful gesture. The couple had lived there until their move to California.
