Dolly Parton Is Just like Us — Shares Favorite Taco Bell Order

Even with all her fame and fortune, Dolly Parton still enjoys a simple dining experience.

The Queen of Country can afford to eat out at the fanciest and most expensive restaurants, but often chooses the fast food option instead.

Like many of us, the 11-time Grammy Award winner gets her share of late-night cravings, and she has a go-to place to visit on those occasions: Taco Bell.

Dolly Parton is still going strong and preparing for a six-date residency in Las Vegas, titled Dolly: Live in Las Vegas. That show will begin in December. In a career spanning 60 years with over 50 albums released, Dolly still leads a hectic life. Finding time to sit down and eat can be difficult, but the country music icon has a solution for those cravings, visit Taco Bell.

In a September 3 interview with Business Insider, Dolly revealed her love for the multinational fast-food chain. Dolly says she has a long-time allegiance to Taco Bell’s soft-serve tacos. “I like the others, but they fall apart so bad, especially if you’re riding around,” she said. “So I always get a Taco Supreme, with the sour cream and all that, in the soft shell. I love that.”

Tacos aren’t the only Mexican dish that the singer of hit songs like Jolene enjoys. She recently revealed her love for the once-discontinued Mexican Pizza.

“I was just one of many, many people that had missed them,” Dolly said. “I’d just make them bigger so I could have more of it!” Fans won’t forget that in 2022, Dolly joined Doja Cat in Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza: The Musical, celebrating the return of the beloved food. The Mexican Pizza was on the Taco Bell menu for 35 years before being discontinued. It returned, however, in 2022.

Taco Bell isn’t just a tasty option for the singer that’s sold over 100 million records worldwide, but it also has a sentimental value for her. Dolly and her late husband Carl Dean would often go out there for tacos. Dean passed away in March at the age of 82.

While she loves Taco Bell, the Academy Award nominee also fancies whipping something up in the kitchen. Last year, she and her sister Rachel Parton came out with a cookbook called Good Lookin’ Cookin’: A Year of Meals.

Earlier this year, Dolly also launched a line of single-serve frozen meals. Being one of 12 children growing up, she had to learn how to fend for herself.
