Lil Tay talks about earning $15 million in 2 weeks
The rapper and internet personality sat down for an interview where she defended her controversial way of making money.
“I get to make more money than most people ever f*****g touch in their life,” Lil Tay told Page Six. She added that she wanted to handle herself and her body as she pleased. Further, the 18-year-old stressed that women “should be empowered” to do what they wanted.
Tay also explained why she called women who worked 9-5 jobs a “failure” in an Instagram video uploaded last week. She claimed she was trying to “motivate” them into making more money.
Moreover, Lil Tay stated that she grew up in poor financial conditions and that her family did not give her any money. She emphasized this as the reason she decided to make her own money and why she could “flex” her wealth on others to “motivate” them to start making their own money.
Furthermore, the OnlyFans model shared that her negative experiences with her family were not under her mother, but her father, whom she referred to as a “different household.” However, her father had previously vehemently denied her claims in a 2018 Hollywood Life interview. He stated that he only fought for “her happiness and her future.”
“I was given, like, rotten food for lunch and s**t like that, but I moved on,” Tay added. “I’m good.” She stressed that she placed great importance on money due to her turbulent childhood. “People say that money doesn’t buy happiness, but it does,” she stated.
Lil Tay later made it clear that her $15 million reveal would be the last time information about her wealth became public. She elaborated on her comments by recounting a recent scary experience. “A couple of days ago, there was somebody in my bushes trying to take photos of me, and I was like, ‘Is that TMZ?” she shared.
Lil Tay continued, “I can’t tell what this is, but there are people try to get into my backyard, there’s people taking photos of me at the beach, it might jeopardize my safety.” Additionally, she revealed she has started boxing lessons and hired security. She also mentioned that she was in control of her finances and that she was eyeing some Bugattis.
