Sabrina Impacciatore shares how her first meeting with Jason Momoa went
Sabrina Impacciatore reflected on meeting Jason Momoa for the first time and how the moment took an embarrassing turn. “The White Lotus star” is starring alongside Momoa in the upcoming drama film, In the Hand of Dante.
“It’s so terrible what I did with Jason Momoa,” Impacciatore began sharing the story of her hilarious fumble. “He’s very tall and I’m very small, and I was very anxious to meet him. I think he’s, apart from my boyfriend, the hottest man on the planet,” she confessed.
The actor went on to explain that she was trying her best to hide her excitement about meeting her celebrity crush. “I’m not going to let him understand that I find him so sexy, so I will behave like it’s cool, I’m very cool,” Impacciatore continued.
“And so I met him and he hugged me, he launched me like this,” Impacciatore explained how the Aquaman star gave her a gleeful embrace and lifted her off the ground. “And then I said, ‘Jason, I’m so sorry I’m so small,'” the actor told Fallon. “He said, ‘Don’t worry, don’t worry. You are perfect. You make me think about my ex,'” she remembered Momoa’s reply. This is where things took a hilarious turn.
In an attempt to match Momoa’s sentiment, Impacciatore made an awkward blunder. “So I thought, ‘Okay, I’m going to tell him the same thing, so I make him feel comfortable. And I say, ‘Oh my gosh, like me! You make me think about my sex,'” the actress recalled the embarrassing moment. “I said ‘Sex.’ Because my brain is my worst enemy,” she added. Fallon and the crowd erupted in laughter as Impacciatore concluded the story.
“In the Hand of Dante” had its world premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival on September 3. The movie features a stellar cast that includes Oscar Isaac, Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, John Malkovich, Jason Momoa, and Sabrina Impacciatore.
