South Australian Police have shared a grim update in their ongoing investigation involving Beauty and the Geek Australia alum, Tamika Chesser. Cops responded to a report of a fire at the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, Julian Story. When the cops arrived, they found Julian’s dead body. His head was nowhere to be found.
At the time, the authorities said their number one priority was locating Julian’s head so his family could properly lay him to rest. In a statement released on Thursday, September 4, they confirmed that a member of the public helped recover the skull. It marks the end of one part of their investigation, but there’s still work to be done.
Beauty and the Geek Australia’s Tamika Chesser faces accusations of killing her boyfriend
According to the South Australian Police, a person was walking their dog in some scrubland in Port Lincoln when their dog sniffed out Julian’s skull. This happened on July 31, over a month after authorities kicked off their investigation. They believe he died around June 17.
On June 19, the day police discovered Julian’s body, they found Tamika standing in a nearby yard in a “catatonic and unresponsive state.” They arrested her and placed her in a mental health facility without bail.
A neighbor told cops that they saw Tamika leaving the apartment. She locked the door behind her and walked away with her dogs as smoke poured out of the unit. A security camera captured the eerie moment as the accused murderer walked away from the house, dressed in all black with her dogs in tow.
In their statement, the police thanked members of the Port Lincoln community who came forward with information. However, the investigation remains ongoing. They’re urging community members to continue contacting Crime Stoppers with any additional information they have that could aid the investigation.
