Travis Kelce got brutally slapped by Chargers’ Teair Tart during the Chiefs’ game on Friday. The professional football tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League was playing a crucial game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday when the brutal assault occurred.
Chargers’ Teair Tart slaps Travis Kelce on face
Travis Kelce and Chargers’ Teair Tart exchanged heated blows during a tense game on Friday. According to a report by USA Today, Chargers’ Teair Tart slapped Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce on his helmet at a pivotal point of the game. With a little over eight minutes left in the third quarter, players from both rival teams escalated tensions on the field
In the video circulating on X, Tart tries to aggressively overpower Kelce, who pushes back in response. Seemingly enraged, Tart angrily slaps Kelce on his helmet as the latter immediately turns to the referee.
The referee acted quickly and immediately threw a flag, penalising Teair Tart for extreme aggression towards Travis Kelce. At the time of the penalty, Kelce had only one catch for 10 yards. The officials did not remove Tart from the ongoing game, despite his aggressive behaviour towards Kelce.
Seemingly, Tart’s aggressive behavior continued post-match after the Chargers registered a smooth win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Teair Tart took a dig at Travis Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, on Instagram with the caption, “I’m too swift with it even in Brazil.”
Naturally, this hasn’t gone down well with Swifties, who think it is unfair and sexist to blame her for her fiancé’s career and on-field feuds. Angry Taylor Swift fans flooded Teair Tart’s Instagram comments section. “Taylor Swift has more Super Bowls than your team btw,” one fan wrote.
Another furiously hit back, “Involving his fiancée in this while your lady isn’t mentioned by Trav or others is really awful. She has nothing to do with it—she isn’t a player, she just watches her fiancé play like all the other ladies. Do you always have to involve her in your ship? She has done nothing to you. All this is really awful.”
Notably, Taylor Swift was conspicuous by her absence at the game.
