Candace Cameron Bure recently took to Instagram story to share a mirror selfie, which she took with her iPhone. She sported a white crop top and gray palazzo pants in the image. Bure complemented it with nude makeup, wearing a silver watch and flip-flops. She smiled in the mirror, with one of her hands in her pocket and the other holding the phone.

A few days back, Bure posted her swimsuit photo, which she unfortunately had to take down because she faced massive backlash for it. She faced trolls and body-shaming for her appearance. Later, she did an “Ask me a question” session with fans. There, a fan asked her, “Did you post a bikini photo like yesterday and take it down?”

Addressing the backlash she received, leading her to remove the image, she said, “Yes. I was at the beach. I was in a one piece, not a bikini. I am soaking up the end of summer. I was having fun. It wasn’t about my bathing suit or my body. But the comments became flooded with people discussing my body. It wasn’t worth it. I took it down.” Along with this answer, she also shared a picture of herself in a yellow summer dress.

Bure has openly spoken about the struggle she had with her body image often. In an April episode on “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast,” she revealed how a verse from the Bible changed her view on her body. “And it was like this amazing revelation in my life. And the weirdest story out of the Bible, that God spoke to me about how mean I’ve been to my body. I never saw it that way — it’s this beautiful amazing thing that God gave me,” she added.
