Could this spell the end of the royal family feud? King Charles and Prince Harry are meeting for the first time in more than a year. There was much speculation as to whether the pair would reunite while Harry is in the UK. The general consensus was it was unlikely to happen.
King Charles and Prince Harry have reunited for the first time in over 20 months

Prince Harry waved to onlookers as was driven into Clarence House. He is reported to be meeting his father at the royal residence. The pair haven’t come face to face since February 2024, soon after the King announced his cancer diagnosis.
The meeting has certainly been kept under wraps in the time leading up to it. It’s currently unclear whether it was planned before the Prince entered the UK or was a last minute agreement.
One person who may be less than thrilled about the meeting is Prince William. Experts recently suggested that a reconciliation between the King and his youngest son would alienate the future monarch.
The meeting is likely to be at least a little bit tense. The pair are reported to have been locked in a debate regarding Harry’s access to publicly funded security. While the decision to remove his government-funded protection doesn’t lie with the King, Harry believes he could use his influence to reverse it. The Duke previously told the BBC that his father wouldn’t talk to him.
The Duke of Sussex is on a whirlwind four-day tour of the UK. He visited the gravesite of Queen Elizabeth II earlier this week. He has also visited charities of which he is a patron. His wife Meghan Markle and the couple’s two children haven’t joined him on the trip.
