She may be known for outrageous outfits and questionable relationships, but there’s much more to Julia Fox. The actress recently opened up about her home life, and it’s actually almost as mundane as ours – despite the unusual living situation.
Julia Fox is spending most of her time at home: “Domestic labor, babe”
Julia isn’t the wild woman people paint her as. In a recent interview the actress revealed she actually spends most of her time at home doing chores and childcare.
When asked by US Weekly what her home life looks like, the fashionista said: “Domestic labor, babe. Cooking, cleaning, bath time, playing — lots of playing — dancing, sports, art… It’s always something, but then at the end of the night, we all get to watch a movie together, and it’s like, ‘Oh, OK, I worked all day for this moment, yay.’”
The actress lives in an NYC brownstone with her four-year-old son, her close pal and his partner. She said of the arrangement: “This is my dream life — having a home I bought with my best friend from childhood, We have a child in the house and animals and it’s messy. But it’s warm and it’s colorful and there’s art everywhere and music playing and it always smells like food because someone’s always cooking. That’s the dream I always dreamt. It wasn’t so much being famous or being a star – that just happened. This is what I actively worked toward.”
The Him star also opened up about the misconceptions people have about her.
She’s come a long way since that brief but headline-grabbing fling with Kanye West in 2022. The actress, who came out as pansexual last month, has since said she regrets the relationship. In her 2023 memoir Down the Drain, she noted the fling put her in “probably the most uncomfortable position in my life.”
