Prince William, Prince Harry, and King Charles are once again in the spotlight after the Prince of Wales was left stunned after a recent incident concerning the three of them. The royal successor was kept in the dark about his father’s quiet arrangement for a private meeting with Harry. According to sources, he felt blindsided as the king never consulted with him before meeting his younger brother.
King Charles never consulted with Prince William before meeting Prince Harry, says source
Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop discovered in conversation with a source close to Prince William that he only found out about King Charles’ private meeting with Prince Harry at the very last minute. This was just before the king was headed out to Clarence House. The insider claimed that William was under the impression “his father was back in London” for different reasons.
The source further shared, “He had no idea Harry was on the schedule — and certainly wasn’t asked for input.” The move, according to Shuter’s insider, was well planned and intentional. “If William had been consulted, he would have tried to block it,” the source said. “That’s why Charles went ahead quietly.”
Buckingham Palace later officially confirmed the meeting but refused to dive into any further details. Harry‘s spokesperson offered a similar response, saying that the father and son met “privately” and that “no additional comment” was to be made at the time. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla “knows how deep the wounds run.” She is said to have been in support of Charles’ decision. However, the insider claimed that she did acknowledge the fallout with William.
The new development has given birth to fresh tensions between the two royal brothers. The feeling of familial bonds and love of a father might have inspired the king to take the first steps towards amends. However, the source confirmed that the Prince of Wales did not share the sentiment.
