Things can quickly turn on a dime, especially celebrity relationships. Even the ones that seem solid, like Nina Dobrev and Shaun White. The couple seemed completely happy and loved up just weeks ago. Now, they’ve called it quits and broken off their engagement, leaving many fans to wonder what happened. Could Nina’s shady TikTok post provide a little insight into the split?
Nina Dobrev shared a TikTok about how to “fix” a man before her Shaun White breakup
Just days before the news broke of the Vampire Diaries star parting ways with the Olympic snowboarder, she posted a TikTok video in which she lip-synced to a cheeky audio about other women trying to “fix a man.”
“How do you sleep at night knowing people don’t like you?” began the audio in the video. “With no underwear, in case they wanna kiss my ass,” Nina mouthed.
The next was, “What’s your advice for women trying to fix their man?”
“Listen, Bob the Builder, he’s got 10 other women trying to fix him, too. And you all look like a damn construction crew,” Nina answered. Ouch. She even captioned the video with construction emojis.
And if you want to read more into it, the actress looked a little sad in the eyes, making it seem like the post may have been more than just a fun little social media video.
Some fans are taking the video to mean that Shaun had perhaps cheated on her. It would explain the abrupt nature of their breakup. Another source claimed that their breakup was because of different priorities. But this seems less plausible because of their long relationship and engagement. If they had different priorities, wouldn’t they have known this already?
In either case, the couple is no more. Nina was later seen at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Eternity. She was without her 5-carat diamond engagement ring, further confirming the breakup rumors.
Time will tell if a third party was involved in the split or if it just didn’t work out.
