Tyler Perry could be facing a Payne-ful lawsuit that could seriously damage his image.
The creator of the long-running sitcom Tyler Perry’s House of Payne is facing numerous sexual assault accusations. Derek Dixon was a part of several productions with Tyler. He alleges that the latter had committed numerous sexual acts on him since 2021.
Derek quit Tyler’s show, The Oval, after a sexual assault complaint didn’t amount to anything. Since then, though, the actor has taken further actions against the filmmaker.
The matter could be headed for court at some point in the future.

Tyler has been lying low since reports surfaced of his alleged sexual misconducts, but he might be forced to deal with it soon.
The U.S. Sun has revealed that Tyler was officially served lawsuit papers on Derek’s allegations at his Georgia mansion on August 25. Derek is accusing him of using his power in the film industry to sexually abuse actors and employees who come to him for advice.
While Tyler hasn’t spoken out about the allegations, his lawyer Matthew Boyd said: “This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam.” He adds that “Tyler will not be shaken down, and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail.”
Derek is seeking $260 million in damages. According to him, the two of them met at a studio opening party in 2019. Derek says he was working for an events company at the time and that Tyler asked if he was an actor before allegedly handing him his number. Derek adds that after working on his show, Ruthless Tyler invited him to his home in Atlanta. After a night of drinking, he claims the famous filmmaker and director made numerous sexual advances on him, which he rejected.
According to Derek, that behavior continued on The Oval along with alleged sexually suggestive texts. He claims it eventually became too much, and he quit. Fear of his reputation and career ending were the reasons he didn’t report the allegations initially.
