There have been reports that the industry veteran is gearing up to part ways with her historic home in Los Angeles for a permanent life abroad, especially after the Brad Pitt drama. More recently, a source claimed that Jolie has taken the first steps to quit the U.S. by searching for a suitable home in London.

Star exclusively learned about Angelina Jolie’s major plan to leave the U.S., as she begins her search for a house in the U.K. A source alleged that Jolie has been seeking a fresh start and asked real estate agents in London to show her properties. The move could be reasonable as she has friends there in the English capital, the base of her fashion line, Atelier Jolie. Moreover, she and her son Maddox “love” the city because it’s just a quick trip from New York City.
The “Maleficent” star is also extremely fond of Paris, which is another possible option for cities she could potentially move to and live in. However, the insider added that London remains the “front-runner” at the moment. Jolie lives in a luxe estate, which director Cecil B. DeMille once owned, in the Los Feliz neighborhood. DeMille purchased the property in 1916 and combined the neighboring home, where Charlie Chaplin formerly lived, to rebuild it, as per PEOPLE.
However, Star’s source stated that despite her wishes to leave the U.S., Angelina Jolie has yet to put her present home up for sale. The insider maintained that she “hasn’t officially put the house on the market,” noting that it is available “unofficially.” They further mentioned that the Oscar winner would prefer “an off market sale anyway” and is “getting her ducks in a row” to quit town for good the moment her twins, Knox and Vivienne, turn 18.
