Many celebrities have shared their reactions to the killing of Charlie Kirk. While most of those mourning the MAGA influencer’s loss are those with the same politics, Jamie Lee Curtis was an exception. The star isn’t exactly known for her conservative values. So a lot of fans were taken aback after expressing sorrow over the loss of the controversial figure.
Speaking on the WTF podcast, Jamie initially incorrectly referred to Charlie Kirk as Charlie “Crist”. After host Marc Maron corrected the mistake, the actress noted: “Sorry, Kirk. I just call him Crist, I think, because of Christ, because of his deep belief.”
Jamie went on to say that she disagreed with Charlie on “almost every point I ever heard him say.” However, the star became emotional as she described him as a “man of faith”. She added: “Even though I find what his ideas were abhorrent to me, I still believe he’s a father and a husband and a man of faith, and I hope whatever ‘connection to God’ means, that he felt it.”
The emotional reaction led to a mixed bag of comments. Some praised the actress’ empathy. One fan wrote: “Geez..this was emotional to me. Jamie Lee Curtis response was beautiful.”
