Donald Trump arrived in the UK yesterday. Today he’s rubbing shoulders with royalty as he visits King Charles and other British royals at Windsor Castle. Trump previously described Charles as his friend. The President’s visit has sparked a number of protests in the country, leading to several arrests.
Donald Trump kept the Royal Family waiting a little before his arrival

The POTUS and first lady Melania Trump arrived in Windsor Castle today, ready for a two-day state visit. The pair traveled from London to Windsor via helicopter, then arrived at the royal residence in horse-drawn carriages.
The Trumps were welcomed by King Charles and Queen Camilla, later joined by Kate Middleton and Prince William. The pair will enjoy a lavish banquet this evening, joined by a number of officials and pals. Great time to be a fly on the wall of the 900-year-old castle. They are also expected to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II by laying a wreath at her gravesite in St. George’s Chapel.
Yesterday, the President spoke of his relationship with the King from the White House. He told reporters: “My relationship is very good with the U.K., and Charles, as you know, who’s now king, is my friend. And it’s the first time this has ever happened where somebody was honored twice, so it’s a great honor.”
Not everyone in the UK has given the President such a warm welcome. A number of small protests took place in the country prior to his arrival. Last night, giant images showing Trump with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were projected onto the walls of Windsor Castle. Four people have since been arrested on suspicion of “malicious communications”, per the BBC.
President Trump is scheduled to meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday.
