Prince Harry was the talk of the town when he visited the United Kingdom a few days back for some charitable work. After visiting the city, it seems the Duke of Sussex became nostalgic as he reached out to his friends. According to his “old pals,” Harry sent “emotional” texts, hinting he is “homesick.”
Prince Harry’s ‘old pal’ claims he is slowly starting to sound like himself
Prince Harry gave up his royal duties in 2020 before finally settling in Montecito, California, with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, after his brief U.K. visit, he started sending “emotional” texts to his old friends, hinting that he is missing home.
Speaking about Harry, one of his friends told RadarOnline that they “still call him Spike, and he’s clearly homesick.” The friends further revealed that the Duke of Sussex has “been reaching out much more, sending these lengthy, emotional WhatsApps.” After receiving the texts, the friends feel that “slowly” the 41-year-old prince is “beginning to sound like the Harry” they remembered from their earlier time together. “To us, it looks like he’s missing home and his old drinking buddies,” claimed one of his old pals.
And it seems it’s not only Harry who misses his royal family and life in the U.K. Harry’s father, King Charles, also misses the Duke of Sussex. “Harry has always been especially dear to the King,” a courtier told the outlet. The courtier further revealed that “even after the recent disclosures,” the monarch’s “relationship with William has been more strained over the years than with Harry,” adding that he “feels Harry’s absence keenly, despite everything.”
Harry has always been vocal about his feelings. Despite his estranged relationship with the royal family, the duke expressed to BBC News that he “would love reconciliation” with his loved ones. “There’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious,” admitted Harry.
