A photo of Sydney Sweeney wearing a Turning Point t-shirt has been making the rounds on social media. The organization, founded by Charlie Kirk, aims to spread conservative views at US universities. While many fell for the image, it turns out it’s actually fake.
A manipulated image of Sydney Sweeney showed her wearing a Turning Point shirt after Charlie Kirk’s death

The image has been circulating on social media this month. But it’s actually a doctored photo. Paparazzo Jose Perez snapped the original image just before the actresses appeared on Good Morning America on June 4.
The edited version seems to have originated from the TheDailyDogUSA Facebook page. It was posted with the caption “Just when Sydney Sweeney couldn’t get anymore perfect ???”.
Turning Point claims to be the “largest Conservative student movement” in the US. Charlie Kirk co-founded it in 2012. The organization, and its leaders, have faced criticism for promoting pro-gun and anti-trans views and conspiracy theories.
The actress has become something of a poster child for conservatives recently. It began with the launch of her American Eagle denim collection, which used the tagline “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.” Critics believed the line may be referencing the actress’ aryan appearance. Soon after, reports surfaced stating that the actress had registered as a Republican in Florida in 2024. She hasn’t confirmed her political leanings.
Despite the backlash following the American Eagle ad, it seems all publicity really is good publicity. Several of the pieces from the Sydney Sweeney collection sold out in less than 24 hours.
Sydney isn’t the only star to be hit with a fake news scandal. Taylor Swift fans were recently panicked by a report the singer had been arrested on weapons charges.
