IShowSpeed recently reacted to the viral ‘W Speed‘ trend on his livestream. The popular creator and streamer humorously expressed his frustration with fans for picking up on his most random actions and overpraising them through W Speed edits.

IShowSpeed has unexpected reaction to ‘W Speed’ trend

IShowSpeed recently did a livestream where he reacted to his viral ‘W Speed’ trend, where fans pick up on his most random actions and interpret them as wholesome. He, visibly expressing his humorous frustration, asked fans to stop making such edits. “Stop this s***, please man.”

Admitting to his basic action of drinking water in the video, he added, “All i did was f**king drink water. I drunk f**king water.” The viral video he reacted to was an edit where Speed is thirsty and he picks up the bottle to drink water. Then, he puts the water back. The edit concludes with his innocent face. While the text shows up as “W speed” as the song “Blue” by Yung Kai plays in the background. The video also showcased a heart with a bandage emoji.

The ‘W’ in the meme basically is slang for ‘win’ in the internet’s dictionary. According to Know Your Meme, the trend started with @deagzzzshorts, known for making two styles of IShowSpeed edits. One is funny and chaotic, and the other is wholesome.

He made the wholesome video of IShowspeed, who promised a Waffle House waiter that he would take a selfie with him once he liked the food. That video concluded with the W Speed text. Meaning, Speed acted in a wholesome way, which the editor clipped. From this edit, a user posted a screenshot, which, although it failed to garner the desired views, set the stage for the trend.

Some days later, another user picked up on the trend. They posted a screenshot of Speed holding a bottle, which made people laugh and became instantly viral. Now, fans often take IShowSpeed’s most casual actions and turn them into “W Speed” memes, which explains the streamer’s frustration.
