Donald Trump’s visit with the Royal Family has come to an end. While we’ve had plenty of photos from the trip, it seems not every part was documented. Sources say the President and Melania Trump had a private meeting with Prince William and Kate Middleton. Oh to be a royal staffer at that gathering…
Prince William and Kate Middleton held a private meeting with the President and First Lady
The POTUS has been in the UK since Tuesday on a state visit. He and Melania stayed at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, where he was welcomed by King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The group had lunch together inside the castle. Next, a private meeting between the Trumps and William and Kate took place. A source told People the get together was “warm and friendly.” While it’s unclear what the group discussed, it suggests William is getting a lot of practice in for his future role as king.
The President was probably only too happy to spend more time with the Princess of Wales, who he described as “so beautiful” when they met. The Prince and Princess of Wales shared some snaps from Trump’s visit on their official Instagram. Trump and William had previously met at the reopening of Notre Dame in December 2024.
On Wednesday evening, a lavish banquet was held at the castle. Attendees included Apple CEO Tim Cook, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and Tiffany Trump. The President gave a speech at the event, which made no mention of Prince Harry.
The Trumps left the royal residence on Thursday morning. The President met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the afternoon before the pair held a joint press conference.
