There may be one notable absentee when Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco tie the knot.
The singer has been a longtime friend of fellow pop star Taylor Swift. They are both in highly publicized relationships and are both engaged.
Taylor may have to attend her good’s friends upcoming one solo. Her likely plus-one, Travis Kelce, might not be available for Selena’s big day. The teen idol formally announced her engagement to Benny in December 2024.

Paprazzi’s consistently follow Travis and Taylor around wherever they go. They might have to settle for just the pop icon on Selena’s wedding. A source told The U.S. Sun that Selena and Benny will say I do on September 27. If confirmed, it will make it difficult for the NFL star to attend.
Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, face the Baltimore Ravens on September 28 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. His coach, Andy Reid, may not want one of his top offensive weapons to be fatigued ahead of that game. Travis’ presence at Selena’s wedding may depend on the kind of lenience the Chiefs’ staff have for a player of his stature. Given the Chiefs are 0-2 to start the season, it may further emphasize that the club need their Pro Bowl tight end to be well-rested and in the right mindset.
It wouldn’t be impossible for him to attend both events, however. Taylor, of course, flew from her Eras Tour in Japan to the Super Bowl in Nevada last year to cheer Travis on against the San Francisco 49ers.
Taylor and Selena have been close friends for the better part of two decades, and having her future husband present on the special day would mean a great deal to her. Travis and Taylor have yet to set a wedding date for themselves since their engagement in August.
There should be plenty of A-list celebrities on hand for Selena and Benny’s wedding, though we’ll have to wait and see if Travis’ name makes the final cut.
