It’s not a great week for Jimmy Kimmel. The star had his chat show taken off air following comments he made on the suspect of the Charlie Kirk shooting. Now insiders revealed that the show’s staffers are stuck in limbo with no clear decision on its future.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! employees are being kept in the dark after host’s suspension

Jimmy caused a serious headache for TV bosses on Monday when he passed comment on the Charlie Kirk shooting. While his comments weren’t aimed directly at the late MAGA influencer – he said the shooter was MAGA – they caused outrage among conservatives.
Now a source connected to Jimmy Kimmel Live! has revealed that those working on the show have been given mixed messages. Speaking to US Weekly, the insider said that staffers were “initially told that the suspension was just going to be for the rest of this week.”
However, reports on Wednesday revealed that ABC had canceled the show “indefinitely”. Unsurprisingly, “no one knows what’s really going on,” the source told the publication. This comes amid reports that Jimmy is “ready to walk” away from the network.
A number of celebrities rushed to defend Jimmy in the wake of his suspension. However, one person who is definitely not calling for his reinstatement is Donald Trump.
The President wrote on Truth Social: “Great news for America: The rating challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse rating than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT.”
Jimmy spoke about the shooting during his opening monologue on Monday’s show. After claiming that the shooting was being used for political leverage, the host made light of Donald Trump’s reaction to the news, stating: “This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish.”
