In an interview with Elle, the 51-year-old revealed how the couple has been going strong for 28 years. Victoria mentioned that usually in relationships, after a certain period together, one would say to the other that they have “changed.” She then exclaimed, “Well, of course you’ve changed!”
Victoria continued to explain, “You’re a different person when you’re 20 than when you’re 50.” The former Spice Girl stated that she and David have been going strong because they’ve grown alongside each other. Moreover, the 50-year-old former footballer has also been a steady and solid support system for his wife through the years. Victoria gushed that David “believed” in her when “a lot of people didn’t.”
The fashion designer said, “He invested in me.” Victoria continued to share that she had been a “laughing stock” at times. She revealed that there was a time when people wouldn’t take her business “seriously”. However, Victoria added that David “always believed” in her. The former pop star launched her self-titled fashion label in 2008. It offers a range of products, including ready-to-wear apparel, footwear, and more.
In the Elle interview, Victoria also revealed that initially, she did not want to explore the fashion industry. However, David eventually convinced her to do it. The star’s business grew and went on to also include a makeup and skincare line, Victoria Beckham Beauty.
