Kanye West has responded to a lawsuit brought against him by America’s Next Top Model contestant Jenn An. The rapper hit back at claims he assaulted Jenn during a music video shoot. He accused her of filing the lawsuit to curb his controversial outbursts.

Kanye West has responded to the sexual assault case against him through his lawyer. The musician claims that Jenn An has a rather bizarre motive for initiating the proceedings – to stop him talking about controversial topics.
Kanye’s lawyer pointed out that, in the lawsuit, Jenn had included notes about the musicians “antisemitic messages” and comments disregarding sexual abuse survivors, as per US Weekly.
The lawyer told the court that her choice to include these references “should be considered as facts to support arguments regarding [An’s] motive to bring this lawsuit — to silence [West] for his controversial speech on matters of public concern.”
The lawsuit centers on a music video shoot for La Roux’s song In for the Kill. Jenn was hired as a background dancer for the 2010 shoot. Kanye also featured in the video following a remix he did of the song.
Jenn alleges that Kanye took over the directing of the shoot. At one point, he told her to sit in a chair, before choking her with both hands. The lawsuit also claims “He then rammed several fingers down her throat, continuously moved them in and out and gagged her (which [An] believed lasted for over a minute) to emulate forced oral sex and screamed, ‘This is art. This is fucking art. I am like Picasso.’”
Kanye’s lawyer countered that: “At no point during the production did [Jenn] object to her role, express a lack of consent to participate, nor attempt to leave the performance, nor does she claim such in her [lawsuit].”
The lawsuit isn’t the only reason Kanye has been in the headlines recently. He released an explosive documentary earlier this week.
