Violet Affleck is urging for a return of KN95 masks to stop COVID coming back. The daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spoke at the UN Headquarters yesterday. She certainly didn’t hold back at the conference, accusing leaders of “neglect of the highest order”.

Violet spoke at the “Healthy Indoor Air: A Global Call to Action” on Tuesday. The event took place at the UN headquarters in New York. Wearing a mask and goggles, she made a fiery plea for a return to widespread use of masks.
The Yale student started her speech in a pretty impassioned way. She said: “It is neglect of the highest order to look children in the eyes and say: ‘We knew how to protect you, and we didn’t do it.”
Pointing to her mask, she continued: “We have access to a technology to prevent airborne diseases… and we refuse to.”
The 19-year-old also criticized leaders and “adults”. She said they were “ignoring, downplaying, and concealing both the prevalence of airborne transmission and the threat of Long Covid.”
The oldest Affleck child added that she believes “our present is being stolen right in front of our eyes”.
She expressed fear that children could transmit the virus in schools. She said she was “terrified” kids may one day “not know a world without debilitating pain and exhaustion.”
At a LA city board meeting last year, Violet revealed she had contracted a post-viral condition in 2019. She said: “I’m OK now, but I saw first-hand that medicine does not always have answers to the consequences of even minor viruses.” She addressed the meeting to call out the city’s absence of mask mandates in hospitals.
