Tom Holland’s on-set injury sparks safety concerns
A recent report by Rob Shuter indicates that Tom Holland’s on-set injury left his fiancée, Zendaya, and other cast members “rattled.” Holland recently suffered a concussion while filming a stunt for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Holland, along with a stunt double, was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The accident has caused a significant stir among the rest of the cast, triggering questions about safety on set. The $250 million production is currently on hold and could be delayed for weeks.
As per insiders, the incident has pulled back the curtains on “major safety failures” on set. “It’s worse than anyone admits. The fall wasn’t just a freak accident. The stunt protocols are shaky, the crew is spooked, and the insurance company is freaking out,” the source reveals.
Since the accident, insurers have labelled the shoot as “high risk.” They have threatened to pull insurance if their demands for significant improvements in the safety protocols are not met. This could jeopardize the entire production, suspending it indefinitely. “Lawyers are circling. Marvel and Sony are scrambling to keep this film on track,” another source states.
Meanwhile, the accident has caused unrest among the cast as well. Sources report that Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Mark Ruffalo were “rattled” by the accident, raising questions about safety. “If Spider-Man himself isn’t safe, who is?” said a crew member.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to be the fourth installment in the MCU’s Spider-Man film series. As of now, the movie is set to arrive on July 31, 2026. It will be a part of the MCU’s Phase Six.
Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon reprise their roles as Peter Parker, MJ, and Ned Leeds, respectively. Other major cast members include Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Sadie Sink, and Michael Mando, among others.
