Life after Catfish is looking pretty sweet for Kamie Crawford. The former MTV host just announced that she’s getting married! She shared an adorable picture showing off her engagement, introducing fans to her lover for the first time. This is the hardest of hard launches, and the ring is looking massive, too.
Kamie Crawford showed off her engagement ring on social media
“Hard Launch: The Wizard & I… Forever,” Kamie wrote in a caption on Instagram showing off a series of adorable engagement photos.
Although Kamie didn’t share the name of he mystery lover, her fans got a good look at him amid the engagement announcement. The two were all smiles, as her new bling glistened in the light. The model and podcaster followed up on her Instagram Story with snaps of their engagement party, where they were surrounded by loved ones. There was cake, lots of love, and plenty of happy tears.
“I haven’t stopped crying in 24 hours,” Kamie wrote in one Story, showing off the ring while looking over the New York City skyline.
The news of Kamie’s engagement comes just days after MTV confirmed that Catfish would not return for Season 10. Kamie had already announced that she wouldn’t return for any future seasons. She left before MTV pulled the plug on the show.
After the cancellation announcement, series creator Nev Schulman took to Instagram to reflect on the show’s legacy. During the video, he failed to mention Kamie, adding further fuel to the fire that there were some behind-the-scenes tensions lingering between them.
Either way, Kamie is clearly moving onward and upward. Her family and friends worked overtime to give her this fairytale engagement, so we already know the wedding is about to be magical.
“My family is my entire world & helped plan the most perfect proposal of my literal dreams,” Kamie wrote in her Instagram Story. “I can’t even believe I’ve been blessed with so much love in my life.”
