The future rulers of England got a first-hand look at what power is, the magical kind.
Prince William and Kate Middleton took their three children to the set of the upcoming TV series Harry Potter on Friday. The Harry Potter world holds significant sentimental value to all of them. When Kate was pregnant with her first child, George, she and William visited the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.
On that occasion the couple and Prince Harry had a friendly wand duel, while also visiting Diagon Alley.
Their visit to the set last week was a unique experience for the kids.
A source described Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Harry Potter set visit as “magical”

Like many people, the Harry Potter world is one William and Kate’s family have always been intrigued by. Judging from the experience their kids had on set, they probably share that same passion for it.
“It was so special,” a source revealed to the Daily Mail. “There was only one night of filming there, so it really was a magical ticket.” William and Kate‘s youngest son, Louis had an incredible time on the Hogwarts Express train, getting a ride on it with a driver. That’s an experience most kids can only dream about. The £4 million set built on Windsor, Berkshire replicates the Scottish Highlands, the setting of the Harry Potter books.
The story of the world famous wizard is a significant part of the childhood of George, Charlotte, and Louis, who are second, third, and fourth in line to the royal throne. The current king and their grandfather Charles used to read Harry Potter bedtime stories to them.
Each season of the TV series is based on a single book written by J.K. Rowling. It will begin with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and end with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The show starring John Lithgow and Nick Frost, among others, is currently in production.
The series is set to premiere on HBO in early 2027.
