Smells like Courteney Cox may have a future in drumming.
The Friends actress took to TikTok recently to showcase her musical talents on the drums. Her rendition of a Nirvana classic got rave reviews from her followers. “Could you BE any cooler??!” one fan noted.
Courteney has more free time than usual with her latest movie, Scream 7, currently in post-production. She is also set to star in a new season of Last Chance U.

She may not have a musical background, but Courteney Cox is a quick study when it comes to playing the drums. The Emmy Award nominee took on Nirvana’s hit song Smells Like Teen Spirit. People on TikTok were thoroughly impressed.
“You & phoebe would’ve made a killing a central perk,” said one fan.
“Wow. A chef AND a drummer! Impressive,” another noted.
“COURTENEY WHAT CANT YOU DO!???” another wondered.
Central Perk was the fictional coffee shop where Courteney’s character, Monica, attended in Friends. She plays a chef in the show who often frequents the café with her friends. Phoebe, played by Lisa Kudrow, would often perform songs at Central Perk. Last month, Courteney reunited with one of her Friends co-stars, Jennifer Aniston, on a double date with their significant others.
Seeing Courteney banging the drums may be something audiences aren’t used to, but she has been around music before. One of the first times we were introduced to the actress was in a music video for Bruce Springsteen’s hit song Dancing in the Dark. She would later appear in the video for the Rembrandts I’ll Be There for You, the theme song to Friends. In 2021, she appeared in a Connor Price video for his song Courteney Cox.
Scream 7 is scheduled for release in February 2026.
