Lori Loughlin & Mossimo Giannulli Split Up After Nearly Three Decades Together

Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have called it quits after nearly 28 years together, a representative said about their breakup. The estranged pair, notorious for their 2019 college admission scandal, tied the knot in 1997. They are parents to two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli. The news of their split after nearly three decades came to light in separate, but similar statements confirming their separation.

A representative for Lori Loughlin revealed that she and Mossimo Giannulli have officially separated, confirming their breakup. In a statement to US Weekly, the rep announced that the pair are “living apart now,” but no “legal proceedings” have been underway yet. Then, the spokesperson, Elizabeth Much, added in a separate statement that they are “taking a break from their marriage.”

Loughlin and Giannulli had been together for nearly three decades. The estranged couple’s romance made headlines in 1997 when they eloped just before Thanksgiving. They welcomed their first daughter, Isabella, the following September, and then Olivia a year later. Before that, the “Full House” alum was married to Michael Burns from 1989 to 1996.

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli’s breakup came shortly after they made headlines for their roles in the college admission scandal. The 2019 controversy involving their two daughters culminated in the duo pleading guilty to wire and mail fraud charges in 2020. They faced accusations of paying $500,000 for their children’s admissions to the University of Southern California.

Reportedly, Loughlin received a two-month sentence in federal prison, while her husband served five months in 2020. She completed her sentence and left prison in December of that year, making a slow return to television in the next couple of years, including co-starring alongside James Tupper in “Fall Into Winter.”
