Nicole Kidman has made her first public appearance since filing for divorce from Keith Urban, stepping out in a show-stopping black gown at a charity gala. The actress attended the event just days after officially ending her 19-year marriage to the country music star.
Nicole Kidman makes first appearance amid Keith Urban divorce
On October 4, Nicole Kidman attended amfAR’s Dallas auction, an event dedicated to raising funds for AIDS research. The Oscar-winning actress looked composed and radiant in a sleek black gown with a bold neckline while talking about the importance of community and philanthropy during her speech.
This appearance came as a surprise to many, as Kidman filed for divorce from Keith Urban on September 30, citing “marital difficulties” and “irreconcilable differences.” Court documents obtained by PEOPLE reveal a mutually agreed-upon parenting plan for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. In addition, Kidman will serve as the primary residential parent, with Urban having scheduled visitation, and neither party is seeking child support.
For those unaware, Kidman and Keith got married in 2006 after meeting at the G’Day USA Gala in Los Angeles in 2005. They were last seen together publicly in June at a FIFA Club World Cup match in Nashville. Furthermore, Kidman also shares two older children, Isabella and Connor, with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise.
However, she is not the only one who has made her first public appearance. Since the divorce filing, Urban has been seen performing on his “High and Alive” tour, noticeably without his wedding ring. Social media attention intensified when country singer Maggie Baugh posted a video from a recent show featuring Urban ad-libbing lyrics in her direction.
Rumors about Urban’s potential involvement “with another woman” have also circulated, with sources reportedly claiming the news is widely discussed in Nashville, though Kidman reportedly remains “shocked” (via Page Six).
