Emma Watson reveals reason behind huge diamond ring
Emma Watson turned heads during Paris Fashion Week, sparking speculation about a possible engagement. The actress attended Miu Miu’s runway show in a chic pink minidress and a diamond ring on her left hand that had fans talking. Many wondered if the accessory hinted at a quiet engagement announcement.
However, US Weekly has since reported that Watson is not engaged. Previously, she has also clarified the personal and deeper significance of the ring on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast. She shared that the ring was a collective gift from 22 of her closest friends and family members. Each of them contributed to one of the ring’s 22 petals.
Watson said, “I did a ritual with—I guess just a day of celebrating with my friends and chosen family, and they each bought me this ring, which has 22 petals on it, and each of them bought one.” The actress added that it represents the community and life she has built.
She explained, “And I’ve just never owned anything so valuable in my life because to me, it represents the life that I’ve built, which was the one that I really wanted, which was one that was made up of community and my roots and faith and trust.”
Emma Watson first wore the ring at the Venice Film Festival. Although at the time, it was on her right hand. Growing emotional, she added, “I love that every time I look down at my finger, I can see all of the faces of the people who bought it for me.”
