Marcus Jordan Celebrates Being Six Months Sober: ‘Still the Life of the Party’

Marcus Jordan had a positive update for his social media followers – he’s hit a big sobriety milestone. The entrepreneur’s decision to go booze free is likely to be related to his run in with the law earlier this year. He was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

Marcus posted a series of snaps on Instagram this week with the caption: “6 Months Sober??? & Still The Life of The Party? #180Days.”

The photos show him hanging out with friends as well as his famous dad, NBA legend Michael Jordan.

The Trophy Room CEO began his sober journey after being arrested in Florida in February. He was taken to jail on charges of cocaine possession, DUI, and resisting arrest. The “cocaine” was later identified as ketamine.

Marcus struck a deal with prosecutors last month to wrap up the case. A condition of the agreement was that he write a 250-word apology letter to the officer who arrested him, according to TMZ.

The entrepreneur also admitted he’d been struggling with substance use and agreed to enter a treatment program as part of the deal.

It hasn’t been plain sailing, though. Earlier this year he revealed he had nearly given in to the temptation to turn to booze following the deaths of Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Hulk Hogan.

He wrote in his Insta stories: “Went THRU IT yesterday, realizing that 2 icons of my childhood passed this week. Caught a SERIOUS case of the “fck it’s” & almost had a drink.”

The star added that he’d reached out to his family for support. He wrote: “Reached out to both my parents & my siblings, cuz life is short and it’s important to spend time with the people you love.”
