On October 9, Kate Middleton made a surprise appearance at Home-Start Oxford. Looking the picture of health, the Princess of Wales wore a colorful chartreuse green pantsuit by designer pal Victoria Beckham.
For the visit to the early childhood facility, Kate accessorized her suite with a knit top and Ralph Lauren pumps. As the princess prefers, her long hair was elegant in sleek, loose waves.

As for jewelry, Kate kept things simple with a pair of amethyst earrings and a necklace with her children’s initials. At the center, which also supports healthy family relationships, Kate met with volunteers and participated in a stay-and-play session.
The mother of three young children chose early childhood as the focus of her royal charity work. Just recently, the princess published an essay warning of the intrusion of smartphones into family life. Calling screen time an “Epidemic of Disconnection,” the princess warned of the possible harm done to families.
“When we check our phones during conversations, scroll through social media during family dinners, or respond to e-mails while playing with our children, we’re not just being distracted, we are withdrawing the basic form of love that human connection requires,” she cautioned.
In partnership with Professor Robert Waldinger, Kate wrote the article for The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. She founded the Centre in 2021.
She and Prince William have tried to give their children a more stable childhood than he and Prince Harry experienced. While their children do not have smartphones, the family focus is on quality time and sharing dinners together.
In September 2024, Kate announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatment. Furthermore, in January 2025 she confirmed that her cancer was in remission.
