Shortly after Keith Urban infamously swapped out the lyrics of “The Fighter” during a recent concert to reference his guitarist Maggie Baugh, she has revealed that she will be releasing her new song, “The Devil Win.” The announcement came amidst rumors that she allegedly had some part in the highly publicized divorce between Urban and Nicole Kidman.
Maggie Baugh breaks silence amid Keith Urban rumors
The 25-year-old guitarist recently revealed that she is dropping a new track, titled The Devil Win, on October 10, 2025.
On October 8, Maggie Baugh shared a short teaser of her upcoming song on Instagram, featuring her sitting with her guitar, wearing a cowboy hat. “The Devil Win • 10.10. Pre-Save Link in my Bio #thedevilwin,” she captioned the post, announcing the name and release date of the single.
The announcement of Baugh’s song comes shortly after the rumors linking her to legendary country musician Keith Urban, who recently split from actress Nicole Kidman. The speculations about Urban and Baugh came after he recently changed the lyrics of his song, “The Fighter,” which was originally for his estranged wife. He swapped the lyrics to make it about Baugh, leading to the rumors.
In the original version, Urban sings, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.” But in the new live show, whose clip has been doing rounds on social media platforms, he sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.” Urban also appeared to point at Baugh during the song.
Meanwhile, Baugh also shared the post with the caption, “Did he just say that ?” This came just before Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on September 30, 2025.
Amid the rumors about Maggie Baugh’s alleged involvement in Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s split, her father, Chuck Baugh, hit back and denied that his daughter had any part to play. This may have also sufficiently affected her, as she was not a part of Urban’s October 2 concert.
